Our History
About 80 years ago, two little girls named Rose and Nellie grew up in Mukachevo, Ukraine. They were the best of friends and couldn’t be separated.
In 1944, WWII invaded their lives and ravaged their families. They were torn apart, with Nellie relocating to Australia, and Rose arriving in Brooklyn, NY. Both Rose and
Nellie rebuilt their lives. They met their husbands, started families, and watched their children grow up.
Nellie’s son decided to move to America to attend school and begin working. Rose’s son, though he preferred softball, also attended school and began to work. By coincidence or divine intervention, Rose’s son and Nelly’s son met and became business partners.
After some time, Nellie came to visit her son in New York. During her stay, she longed to reconnect with her childhood friend, Rose. After making some inquiries, she located Rose, and after 55 years, they were reunited. As they spoke about their lives, and their children, the came to the realization that their sons, Jacob Rosenberg (son of Rose) and Benjamin Bernath (son of Nellie), had become business partners in New York.
Though Rose and Nellie were torn apart at a young age, when there is true care and integrity, miracles can happen.
Their sons continue to provide families and businesses with trusted tax and wealth management advice after over 30 years of partnership.
